The 111th FAI General Conference, one of the most important events organized by the World Air Sports Federation, has been recently held in Lausanne, Switzerland. The Conference attracted numerous influential patrons and delegates, including honored associates of air sports. The event usually brings all the industry leaders together and is held to make vital decisions for the following year. Max Polyakov and his company, Noosphere Ventures, also took part in the big event.

The conference lasted for seven days and included a long list of events of different kinds. World Air Sports Federation discussions and workshops, as well as an Executive Board Meeting, General Sessions and an Awards Ceremony were scheduled during the week. Representatives from Max Polyakov’s Noosphere Ventures took part in many important events at the conference.

General sessions attracted a large number of participants, who were able to discuss and consider the recent developments in air sports, the drone invasion, IT support, anti-doping policies and much more. For example, Yuriy Letser from Noosphere Ventures had the opportunity to demonstrate the innovative eNavigator that can easily arrange everything for a sporting event, including website creation, results tracking and scheduling.

One of the brightest parts of the 111th FAI General Conference was the special Awards Ceremony. The event awards are given only in the recognition of significant contributions to the development of the World Air Sports Federation. Max Polyakov, managing partner of Noosphere Ventures, was among the nominees for the recent year. Furthermore, Mr. Polyakov received the FAI Companion of Honour, one of the most prestigious awards of the conference.

The new status will allow Max Polyakov to visit the annual General Conference, which is usually closed to the public. The conference gives plenty of opportunities to work more closely with FAI’s leaders and make even larger contributions to the development of air sports. Another advantage of being the federation’s Companion of Honour is that its respected members, including Max Polyakov, will be able to propose recommendations of awards nominees to the Executive Board of the World Air Sports Federation.

After being awarded, Max Polyakov announced that he is grateful for the recognition and respect of the federation. Noosphere has been working with FAI for years and is ready to serve as its technical partner for the further development of air sports.
